Si Elizabeth Jelin ay isang social scientist na nakikibahagi sa pananaliksik sa mga lugar ng karapatang pantao at pagkamamamayan, hindi pagkakapantay-pantay sa lipunan, kasarian at pamilya, mga kilusang panlipunan, at mga alaala ng pampulitikang panunupil. Si Jelin ay isang Senior Researcher sa National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) at sa IDES (Institute of Economic and Social Development) sa Buenos Aires. Siya ay isang may-akda ng mga libro at artikulo.

Si Jelin ay tumatanggap ng Bernardo Houssay National Prize for Research Trajectory in the Social Sciences na ipinagkaloob ng gobyerno ng Argentina at ng CLACSO award. Ginawaran din siya ng Doctorate Honoris Causa sa Université Paris Ouest, Nanterre-LaDefense.
